What if they're both the same day?

As a wise woman once said: “Day” is a vestigial mode of time measurement based on solar cycles.

Reach has a 27 hour day right? The books were written from an Earth timeline in direct relation to the current events.
Reach is told from local time.
There has to be some way they compensate for the difference to keep it close.
Thus making Fall of Reach the "official" time in the series, and Reach the "official" time on Reach.

If all else fails, consider it as TFoR>Reach.
