In Response To: Re: August 30th or August 14th? (InnerRayg) Here are the two options Bungie should have chosen between: 1. Use TFoR as a reference, and don't change anything if possible, fitting your new work as seamlessly as possible with the old. 2. Completely disregard the events of TFoR, and use all new material, changing every single detail (with allowances of some similar elements). The third option, which should never even have been considered, but was the final choice: 3. Use TFoR as a "reference", change almost everything, make references to the original events as a "nod" (or slap in the face) to fans, and then try to reconcile/retcon it so it all seems to fit together, when it in no way should.
