Besides I grew up on video games like pong and atari 2600 intellivision ,colecovision american companies created the home video entertainment industry and its about time we can actually buy an american designed machine. In the early 80's we were getting our butts kicked buy japan we had no industry that the rest of the world would want to import till the pc revolution that microsoft help create if micorsoft hadnt held on to the copyright to DOS there would have been no pc revolution sure maybe the rich could afford the first apple computers but no one else could, after microsoft licensed dos to other companies that made ibm clones that drove down the price from the monopolies of big blue and apple, the pc became affordable . So we all owe microsoft a huge debt of gratitude for the economic engine that jump started our economy and now as microsoft goes so does our economy it was the U.S. case against microsoft that statred the first bubbles to burst on wall street(and there are 17 states jumping on the bandwagon and France as well with anti trust law suits call your state rep and gov. to voice your outrage at this!). As for the anti trust case if microsoft never existed the price of pc's would have been so out of reach that the pc never would have caught on (they were 5 grand in 1980 dollars )and with no one with pc's at home there would be no market for browsers to search the internet and probably no push to deregulate the arpanet into the internet. we all owe microsoft alot more than you know read up about the eighties and the hopelessness of our economy and what we went through and what pulled us out of it . And then go remind the elected officals in the 17 states with class action against microsoft. support our country's strongest company!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! h my James.
