In Response To: Re: Stores Reporting Bugs In Microsoft's Xbox (Louis Wu) I hear ya and you get no argument or disagreement with me. I am a network systems engineer and I know first hand the abuse machines take. I would say that normally the machines in a public enviornment are under lock and key and the only access to the machine, sometimes, is the controller and a reset button. If this is the case with the Xbox then there might be some concerns. But we all have to admitt that there is machine that has NO problems with them. Nomally companies will release software patches or better working replaceable chips/components to make sure there machines are fully functional. Maybe this process will be adopted in next generation Xbox or other consoles. I assume that when Halo is released on PC/Mac we will discover some issues. I'm quite sure, as in the case with QuakeII and III, the makers of Halo will release patches and updates..... |
