In Response To: Stores Reporting Bugs In Microsoft's Xbox (Morphius) : (This is from Informaition Week Daily - An e-mail I get on a daily basis) [xbox kiosk problems snipped] This story keeps coming up. Makes me wonder... All information on both sides of the argument is anecdotal - these guys did a 'random unscientific study' of 10 stores, others have done similar 'studies', but nobody's gone any deeper (yet). A couple of days ago, Matt talked about the issue - but again, with just anecdotal evidence. There are a lot of reasons why machines lock up in public situations - not the least of which is the abuse they receive from users. Still... I don't remember a rash of stories like this before the launch of the PS2... Anyway, it seems like waiting for more solid evidence (one way or the other) makes some sense.
