Re: Stores Reporting Bugs In Microsoft's Xbox

In Response To: Re: Stores Reporting Bugs In Microsoft's Xbox (Morphius)

: Whatever your dislike for Microsoft who really cares. You'll be playing
: (Halo) by MICROSOFT/Bungie..... If you want to play the game you have no
: choice but to except that it was made by a great company (Microsoft).

Let me put it to you this way. I don't much care for Nissan, but I love the Skyline. Start to catch my drift?

: I wonder, do you plan to buy an Xbox... BET you are... You're one of the in
: the closet Microsoft haters..... Can't wait til Xbox is released.... Oh my
: could it be the Xbox by MICROSOFT out performs the PS2 and the Game
: Cube??? I believe it does...

I don't think console wars should be about who can pump off the most FPS or who has the fastest GPU. Nintendo will lose on that basis, yet they ship some fantastic games (did you ever play Lengend of Zelda on the N64? That was fantastic). Again; coming back to cars - yeah, your souped up Corvette may have more power than my BMW M3, but I know which I'd rather drive round corners.

: I will say this and this is going to pis off alot of people here. Microsoft
: has done a hell of a lot more for technology than the Mac.... Forget about
: Unix. The average household doesn't use Unix as there primary OS... They
: use Microsoft....

Microsoft have done very little for technology. Name me one innovation MS have made in Windows, that hasn't been ripped off from somewhere else? I can't think of any. They're interest is in taking other people's ideas, twisting them and then preventing anybody else from using them. It's a fantastic business plan, but it does nothing for anything else other than MS's bottom line.

As for Unix... well, it's not in everyone's homes, but neither are B1 Lancers or B2 Spirits. FFS, why do MS lovers associate mass market with superiority?

: No monopoly... If people loved Mac and Unix you'd see it in more homes today
: than you'd see Microsoft/Intel.... Got to call it like I see it...

As above.

: Oh and for the government, the same ones trying to stick it to Microsoft....
: I've worked with Military and I've worked in the Federal Government for a
: number of years and they are the PRIMARY buyer of Microsoft and PC's..

The last time I saw a report about MS and the Military was when the US Navy had just upgrade a number of their battleships to Win2000. One on the critical Win2k machines crashed, leaving the ship dead in the water.

I mean, imagine if that had happened in the middle of a war?
