Why didn't I put it together before?

Maybe everyone else has already seen this... but while reading gspawn's last post I just saw it all through in my head.

Somehow Truth knows what's up and NOBODY else in the Covenant high command does. When the prophets have the Arbiter take out the Heritic leader, Truth know's the heritic's message about what the Halos really do is true. Truth has the Arbiter killed in the Library because the Arbiter will eventually see on his own what the halos really do. He sends Tartarus to his death by having HIM turn the key on Halo 05. While Tartarus is doing that, Truth rolls out to the Earth Ark.

Remember Moonraker? I don't know why exactly, but Truth and his compadres are looking to be the only ones left in a Galexy devoid of life. He bitches out Regret for going to Earth because Truth doesn't want any of the other prophets knowing any more than they already do about either the Halos or the existance of the Ark on Earth.

At the end of Halo 2 I think it's safe to assume Truth doesn't know Tartarus has failed, but I guess that really makes no difference since the rings can be remotely activated from the Ark. This might slow Truth's plan down a little though... perhaps just enough time for the Cheif to slip in and apply some boot to ass.

A question I now have is if High Charity is another Ark, does it still work?
