In Response To: Re: S'Pht Numbers (Max Etchemendy) I started cutting and pasting S'pht symbols yesterday. I wanted to take this: and reproduce it with some 'standardized' S'pht symbols. It got this:
which is made of 19 distinct symbols: . Actually, wasn't in there, but I added it for symmetry. This term pict reminded me of columns of numbers, rather than words: So I used it to base the number system on. Here are some guesses: Base 10: 0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 Base 3, with special 'compound' numbers" 0 1 2 3 6 9 18 27 54 81 Who knows? |
