I argue that we cannot yet rule out the potentials of our own technological future, because the current model of physics is incomplete. 20 minutes earlier I explained that simplified scientific models can still fit the observed effects of an event. I.E. That what I said is identical to what he said, only worded differently. The key point is that physics does not yet know enough about the workings of gravity to rule out the possibility of a device that creates it. The effects of gravity, on the other hand, will not change; the old models of Lagrange will still work if 'fake' gravity is 'invented'. : Make up your mind. (And maybe, just maybe... tone down your attitude - it's : hard to listen to the gist of what you say when the delivery is so : abrasive.) My mind is made, but maybe that was not made clear in my choice of words. I'm just giving him crap because he took a discussion about a fictional universe and compared it to what we know today. The forum rants with science-fiction, and he crashes in with science-fact. And in a tone that ridicules the ideas presented in certain posts. So I felt it fitting to crash in on top of him, and 'give em a taste of his own medicine'. Sorry if I sounded pissed, it was just for dramatic effect.
