I figured Cortana had some of her logs for some reason. Maybe : she always had them, that would explain why they weren't surprised, but : they could still get contemplative, and it doesn't explain the lack of : reaction to the one on Ivanoff Station, even if it was dated two(?) years : ago. You trigger the recordings by interacting with a physical object. Why would these be Cortana's logs? How when and why did she store them in those locations? :: Well, I think Cortana knew all about them; it's unclear how much of her data : was still in the Chief's systems and how much was recovered, if any. Most : or all of the portals seen in Spops so far have appeared in places they : didn't in campaign and haven't had the pair of floating... whatever they : are that most of the ones in campaign had. He may not know how they work, the technical details but he knew that: portals existed there was a network throughout Requiem
