In Response To: Re: Questions: a (sort of) review of Halo 4 (General Vagueness) : I keep seeing comments about this and I don't get it, what's wrong with it? Host-to-client bandwidth is very limited, so the networking model has to be very careful with how much it sends to each client about certain things. Information about the looking direction/orientation of other players is one of those things that doesn't really have to be all that precise to ensure smooth gameplay, so it doesn't get sent with high precision and priority. This is why, if you go to other player's views in replays, it's somewhat jerky and their reticle position seems kind of "off". Rather than using various tricks to smooth things out (either with replay information or by guessing where the reticle should have been based on hit detection information from the host), Halo 4's kill cams just run the local replay data that your 360 has. So, which they show the general gist of who killed you and with what and from where, they don't really show that person's gunplay in any coherent way; usually you just see someone shooting a wall a couple yards to your side. : They used them in Halo: Legends and of course Halo Anniversary so I'm sure
Yeah, 343i owns the IP for that music. : I think they could've done something different, something more clever. Like having reasonable ammo capacity, and non-bullet-sponge enemies?
