Some of these tell different : types of stories. Some of these incorporate story elements into gameplay, : some of these provide story when taking you out of active gameplay. : As a whole, a game can tell a story. Gameplay itself isn't narrative : storytelling, and that's what you're focusing on. : You need to provide context for your definition of "Game" as well : as your definition of "Story". What I'm taking from this is while an author is writing a book it's not a story. Only after the book has been written is it a story. So maybe a video game like Halo has a story ONLY after you've finished playing and seen the only outcome you've played through.
