I disagree. I have played real RPGs, and they can be amazing experiences. But sometimes I don't want to be able to do everything and anything - I want the story to be meaningful and be persistent. I don't want to be able to just undo something I dislike. I just want to be wrapped within the story, interacting with it to some degree, which allows my brain to experience the story in an involved and immersed way - a different form of immersion than film can allow. Instead of someone else's experience I'm feeling, I'm literally experiencing the story myself - moving and changing things in the world. But I'm sorry, all this nonsense. I'm getting out of these games must be a delusion because I disagree with you. Have a nice day!
