You may be thinking of Bungie's BS backstory to Nicole-458, the Spartan from the Dead or Alive 4 crossover. They incorporated the ILB wormhole into it to explain why there's a MAC platform in the modern setting of DOA4. That is not ILB canon. In ILB, the wormhole sends back one AI and its intelligent Covenant virus inside it. : Also, didn't ILB have a second class of Spartan IIs? Glasslands basically : nixed that when it revealed that Halsey killed any attempt to follow up : the Spartan II program with a new generation of soldiers. Yes, Yasmine had to have been from a second class for the timeline to match up with Rampancy of the AI her brain was used to make. To be fair, in FOR, John describes Mendez going off to train the next generation of Spartans. As GOO had yet to be penned, it was entirely reasonable to assume that he went off to train a second class of Spartan-IIs.
