: Thoughts? I think that they gave deaths less weight to help prevent the "I'm gonna play really conservatively and not die so that I don't hurt my team." type of thinking. Basically, I think that the formula is set up so that people will be more aggressive and play to kill rather than play to not die. In essence, trying to help prevent the selfish gameplay mentality. Of course, I didn't create the formula nor am I a Bungie employee, but these are just my observations from everything I've read so far.
