In Response To: Why arena ranking promotes selfish play (Cody Miller) : Every second you spend keeping a teammate alive and not getting an : assist, is a second you waste in raising your own K/D ratio. What types of actions are you envisioning here? It seems that most often "keeping a teammate alive" involves attacking his or her attacker, which naturally leads to assists and kills. Also, better players should see the big picture and realize that when a teammate is down, there's a greater chance that they may be outmanned in a subsequent encounter. Keeping everyone alive keeps the team stronger, and thus leads to better K/D ratios for all.
