If every player is successful in optimizing their : K/D, then that team will undoubtedly win. The argument is that for a team to win, the players must try to maximize the ENTIRE TEAM'S K/D ratio, whereas each person focusing on maximizing only their own will result in a divergence of strategy, simply because there is less incentive to save a teammate from being killed.
