LEVEL 14: "High Charity" - Halo 3
CORTANA: I'll do what I can to slow the launch sequence. But there's something inside the ship, a presence that's fighting back. For a Covenant construct it's unusually formidable. No time to admire the view; Truth's Phantom has reached the Forerunner ship.
Analysis
We already know that the Master Chief's armor is designed to hold an AI, and with Cortana left behind to deal with Gravemind, this leaves a great opportunity in Halo 3 for the Chief to get a new AI. For example, 1. If the AI is being held against his/her will, the Master Chief could be a means of escape. 2. There would be more the feel of Halo 1 with an AI that tells the Master Chief where to go and sets up Nav points to areas instead of the MC all by himself with Cortana gone. 3. Maybe the AI is a Forerunner, gives us the opportunity of getting mission critical information without having to explain how we know it. 4. Gives me a chance to plug a name for the AI = "Gabriel" = seven letters, cough... :P Well, just some thoughts and probably been discussed before, so sorry if this is old stuff.
