In Response To: The place where your whole argument falls down... (Louis Wu) I'm not saying that at all Louis... I'm saying that I, and others like me, have bought an XBox only to play Halo NOW. I would wait for it to come out on Mac/PC... but we've already waited so many years, and we still don't have an actual release date or even an approximation for Mac/PC Halo. I think that this is a known factor and was used to sell XBoxes. I'm not saying they are sitting on the boxes... heh. I'm just saying they aren't really putting a hurry on anything since they are wanting to get as many XBoxes sold as possible before giving anyone an alternative. I am not sure what you mean by "people waiting to buy it in August and then suddenly saying... ok, I'll buy an XBox..." or something like that... Sure, some people are waiting on the Mac/PC version and never had an intention of buying an XBox... I was one of them. However... it took too long and there really wasn't an end in sight (IMHO) for Mac/PC halo development in November... so I broke down in late December and bought an XBox... I'm glad I did... because I have now been able to play Halo for months... instead of sitting on my laurels until sometime later this year. I really don't mean to offend anyone... I'm just stating what I think the whole deal is... as far as marketing goes. Hell, Bungie could be close to releasing the Halo version for Mac/PC in the next month or two... but I find it highly doubtful... since they usually tell us about those kind of things... But who knows, maybe they will surprise us at E3. A loyal Mac/Bungie fan can't help but feel a lil slighted in this whole mess... that's just the way it is. Heh, at least you PC types are still using a PC to play Halo on your TV... us Mac people have to use a Pentium that we never thought would make it through our front door. PCD | |
