First off, I'd be disappointed if my post carried weight simply because it was me who made it. I don't think I carry that kind of status, and I'd like to think my arguments aren't devoid of worth.

Second, I'm a dyed in the wool Mac user. I have two Macs at home, two more retired and in storage, and plans to purchase another one this summer. Writing me off as someone who can't speak from a Mac user's perspective seems silly to me.

Non-affiliated? If you prefer to get your views from other Mac users, well, that's your call. It won't do much for your edification, though. Dismissing the views of anyone on account of their percieved affiliations is little more than donning rose colored glasses.
