Yes, this argument is a metter of degrees, but mostly gameplay concessions. Your example is relevant as it interferes with desired gameplay. My example changes the physical location of the island. Not to be dour, but I'm already imagining they've altered the Halo geography as well, so what does all this matter? Back in 2004 I worked out Halo's % land mass versus ocean, it's square mile topography, etc. All that research probably out the window. Even it's rate of spin.
