The island on the surface texture reasonably matched the size of the island as well. From what I had been mapping, I chose one of the corresponding textures with the Death Island map location.

Bungie at least mapped out two locations...the image is in the Halo 1 soundtrack cover art. The Library and the Silent Cartographer island are on opposite sides of the ring from one another.
