In Response To: Re: Halo: Combat Evolved and Bloom (Gravemind) : Do you think it was intended for the M6D's max spread to be 0.2° or 2°? Guessing at other people's intentions is not something I like to do. However there are 2 fields in the weapon - initial error and max error*. Based on your data, it sounds like these are 0.2 and 2.0 respectively, and that's something that would be hard to accidentally do. The curiosity is that the weapon's error is increased when the trigger is down, not at the moment of firing. I have no idea if this is intentional or not, but it doesn't seem right to me**. *Well, this is how the weapon tag has been set up since I've been around; I actually don't know if this was true in H1. Someone with Custom Edition could probably verify this (and the numbers). **There is certainly a gameplay/skill difference between holding down a trigger and firing only when you are aiming at the target. So that's one aspect in which this design makes sense. It also is a good approximation of the accuracy behavior for automatic weapons.
