All the reticle bloom is doing : is showing you what the shot spread is going to be... it's not making : the shots spread. : -- Steve'd rather know that than not. I've been trying to explain this to him for months now. It's not that difficult to understand. Rate of fire-based shot spread is not new to Halo and has been around since the first game. It's just that it now applies to precision weapons (it only applies to automatics before) and is represented visually on the HUD. Completely contracted reticle = minimum shot spread, fully expanded reticle = maximum shot spread. Simple as that.
