I'm a Bungie fan but they sure do make strange : bedfellows. This is my point: after being acquired by Microsoft there is no way in heck you can call Bungie and Activision "strange bedfellows". Bungie makes games. Activision publishes them. Neither of them works for free. Game development is SRS BSNS. : Portal 2 for PS3 and PC will be cross platform multiplayer in a month or two : here (forget when it's released), and will be a quasi-first person : shooter. I've honestly no idea what they intend with that, but the original Portal had no firearms used directly by players, only the portal gun and movable turrets. Since a portal is a great deal larger than the area of effect for your average FPS weapon, has no spread, and is always the same size no matter how far away from a surface you fire it, I can easily see the difference in accuracy between mouse/keyboard players and controller players being minimal for this kind of gameplay. Granted it's not MMO, but there'll definitely be significant : action going on there. I would be utterly shocked if Bungie managed to : pull off something as huge as cross platform multiplayer between : 360-PS3-PC. I'd be shocked if they attempted it. 360-PS3 maybe, beyond that, I don't really think so. If they went that far and then did not add Mac as well, there'd be a geezer riot, so I don't see them going that far.
