In Response To: Bad idea (rolandk73) : ODST sold poorly this year and was beaten out by MW2. Now, you can get hyped : up for another Halo game that will debut around the same time as the next : COD game will probably come out. ODST didn't sell poorly at all. Not even remotely close to poorly. Let's not get greedy and expect every Halo game to smash records, eh? Halo Wars didn't. Still sold very well though compared to what most games do. ODST lacked the hype machine of Halo 3, there were far more alternatives available, and it become reasonably well documented that it was more of an 'expansion' than a full game. Hype is good for games sales, but its terrible for expectations. What hype there was really badly damaged ODST's reception (Bungie saying again and again that the game grew into a full game has led to a lot of backlash about its length. Personally I found it just as long as Halo 3 to finish, probably longer actually, but blatantly most people don't care about trying to collect the logs or exploring and just run from waypoint to waypoint as quickly as possible). Also, the next CoD game will be another Treyarch affair and more people are wising up to the idea that they are... well, the second team. No way I'd buy another Treyarch CoD after World at War.
