You obviously have no idea how to play Halo 2. Try avoiding matchmaking. Try FRIENDS. The game is damn fun. You know, make a party, do a clan match, just play LAN. And the game ISN'T meant to be realistic, it's meant to be FUN. Having to upgrade to weapons forces you to learn multiple skills with multiple guns. AS opposed to realying on the pistol or whatever gun you want to start out with. Shocking isn't it? Trying to be adaptable? Just because you haven't been able to do it in real life doesn't mean you can't try it in our alternate world.
