What if they are? They don't want to nuke the Halo because they think a superior race may have built it (and may even still be on it--maybe they don't want to destroy the indigenous <sp?> life on the ring because that would be a 'sin', to remove a life form from its native planet), so they send in all their troops, but the humans are play hide 'n seek with them, attacking small groups of stranded units, stealing alien weapons and vehicles, and using the underground areas of the Halo to dodge larger groups of Cov's. That's a guerilla war--hide and seek. And (to address something mentioned in another post) perhaps the reason they didn't search the human colonies for info on the location of earth is because, like Bungie said, they razed all the cities--to the point where there's nothing left. They aren't going to take any prisoners because they'd rather just kill them. No matter how smart gathering info might've been, their religious beliefs come first. -Lodurr | |
