In Response To: Re: Halo PC Strategy Guide "Weapon Gamer Tips" -> *NM* (kuju west) Stealth can be a very important factor in the game on Legendary. When you're low on health, ammo, and grenades, you have to rely on stealth (or just go down guns blazing). When "stealthing", always melee attack. If you fire your weapon just once...you're screwed. Grunts are very easy to kill using stealth. Walk up to them while sleeping and hit them anywhere, and they will be killed instantly. However, watch how close you get to them. If you tap them in the slightest way, he'll wake up, scream, and you'll be in trouble. Elites, in my opinion, are fairly easy to deal with. However, they can be very tricky. When trying to take out an Elite with stealth, hit them in the back. To hit them in the back, wait for them to walk in the opposite direction of you. Don't walk, but don't run either...go at a steady pace. A key element in doing this is watching the Elites head. If you're trailing him a little to the left and he turns his head left, he'll see you, yell, and start attacking. So, stay directly behind them and go in the opposite way that then turn their heads, and whack them once in the back. Simple, huh? I think Jackals are the hardest to use stealth on. They have superb hearing and site, so watch how you approach them. Like the Elites, you need to hit them in the back for the best results. Use the same technique as with the Elites, and you shouldn't have much trouble. Watch their head movements, and the path they take (they usually repeat their path). Stealth may take a few tries to master, but once you get a good grip on it, weapons, health, ammo, and grenades won't be as big a factor as before. |
