Of course, you're assuming that we're good enough to shoot the arms off of individual flood while there's a crazy arm-swinging, gun-shooting group of them coming at us. I've recently gotten to the point where I don't freak out each time they come at me and I'm able to pick off individual flood from a distance...arm shots are still beyond my skill level.
The one or two times that I've played with armless flood up close (usually getting them armless by accident) I've usually ended up dying because they got in my way when I was trying to maneuver and their friends that still had arms beat me to death.
