In Response To: Reconciling the T&R and the cruiser in "Keyes" (The Loot) : A: They are not, in fact, the same ships, and Dietz erroneously called the : Unknown Cruiser the "Truth and Reconciliation" because that was : the only ship ever mentioned in the game. : or : B: Bungie royally screwed up when recreating the T&R for "Keyes". C: A concious decision was made to make changes for the sake of gamepley even if it was technically impossible (see also Maw Run which cannot possibly fit inside the PoA). They wouldn't have had to 'recreate' the T&R after all. They could have just copy/pasted the whole thing and then added the damage, etc. I can't deny the possibility of The Flood providing bad data, it certainly wouldn't be the first time, but in all honesty, from the very first time I played the game, I never had any doubt they were meant to be the same ship. Revisiting areas and seeing how they had changed from the affects of The Flood was one of the main things I remember from playing Halo. It makes up about half the game.
Its very interesting and kudos for documenting the little details, but its not one of those things I would personally overthink.
