In Response To: Is that your best response? (scarab) : It looks like you have conceded the points. Which is fair. Well yes, they were pretty valid. But they also don't really matter. You were playing someone who has believed that the Forerunners were Gods, that transcendence was real and imminent, whose entire life was dedicated to finding and replicating this transcendence, only to find out that it was all a lie, after he'd already been shamed. That stuff hits people pretty hard. Its probable that the Arbiter hadn't had time to process and was simply just doing stuff (smashing brutes) towards the end of the game. Plus, you're embodying a natural badass, who has nobility, courage, strength, power, grace etc. Cheif was made the way he is. Whose only real decernable motivationg is because he's been given orders and must execute. Remember, the spartans used to be anti-innsurectionists. Its possible he's responsible for hundreds of human deaths too. : Just being the character was never a chore. I never found that. The possibility of BEING my greatest and worthiest adversay (from the first game) was exciting.
