| A couple that stand out for me | |

In Response To: Serious Question for the ladies... or maybe men (Dustbunny27) Prince of Persia: Sands of Time Hot male protagonist, plenty of fan service with his stripping. Brilliant storyline. A beautiful love story. Strong female Princess (who does need rescued, but not because she's useless - just because she's protected from becoming a sand person by her amulet and therefore is, like the Prince, in trouble) She's warm and compassionate but still capable of kicking arse. Farah is the best female game character I've ever come across, which made the Empress and Elika so much harder to swallow. So to speak. Other games that I think are good examples - Broken Sword games. Niko's a bitch but that's not because she's a woman, it's because she's a journalist and because George is kind of an idiot. I think Half Life Episode 2 does quite well with Alyx but she is a bit hit and miss. Chell from Portal is another good example. As Portal is a good example of most things, it's not important that Chell is female. Even if you buy into the mother/daughter theories, she's still an interesting person in her own right and female second.
