The gaming industry absorbs reality as it is, not as a fluffy-puffy dreamland with elves and ogres living together in an utopian setting because it provokes sensibilities while you're playing a game and puts you in a place you can identify with. That said, this whole problem with women being viewed as nothing but sex dolls in games is a means of identifying the developer's product with people ranging from Goethe the Intellectual to Horny "Trailer Truck" Johnny the Rapist. Ignorance sells. If you put women in the position of Zeus the god of Greek mythology you'd be disgusting Johnny the Rapist who, unfortunately, seems to outnumber Goethe the Intellectual on an international scale. I can't put myself in your position or judge your feelings when you see Cortana bent over in front of the Chief and the Arbiter, I'm an anti-feminist not because I feel women should just stay locked in their little kitchen and think about new techniques to develop a revolutionary form of oral sex (which is what most anti-feminists think), but because women are the most important figure in the family medium, and it would simply tip the balance of things if feminism went too far. You think women are overly abused from a physical or an intellectual standpoint in video games? I couldn't agree more. It's a fact everyone can observe and a fact that could certainly be manipulated to change the way women feel about themselves. What I don't agree with, is having these little bullshit "lesbian gamers" websites I haven't even heard of (I'm only speaking for myself here) try to fart a way to approach a progressive extremist reputation, and not only dirtying the name of feminism with a sexual orientation that goes against female nature, but also failing miserably to even grasp the fruit of ODST's story (like Cody correctly pointed out in his post) before putting together an analysis and presenting it to the public. That, my friend, is utter bullshit.
