I'm the same way. I always keep my expectations down, sometimes ridiculously so, and nothing bad's come off it. I can still give yourself things to long for, like Halo 3. But more often than otherwise things will show up that blows me away because I totally didn't expect it. Like when I saw Assassin's Creed for the first time on Gamespot's e3 stream. Other people were talking about how good that game looks and I was like, meh, I'm not into drooling for every damn game people start releasing info about. But when I saw it, without knowing anything beforehand... damn.
'course, it's impossible not to expect things from Halo 3. Two previous games have been building on those expectations more and more. I'm curious about the Arbiter thing, too. Not worried, I wouldn't say, I just have no clue how they'll do it. We'll have to wait and see, is all I say. As always. Hopefully, we'll be pleasantly surprised.
