In Response To: Re: Halo 3 campaign and the Arbiter. Concerns (Simpsons Rule) : I hadn't considered that, but you certainly bring up a valid point. I guess I : had simply assumed that the Arbiter would only be there for Co-Op with the : Master Chief. I agree completely though, I don't want an AI character : screwing with my strategy and generally just getting in the way. Maybe the : Arbiter will only be physically with you at some points of the level, : while always helping you achieve certain other objectives the rest of the : time. For example, when you play GoW and the teams split up to help each : other out. There will be times where maybe the Arbiter will have a : significant height advantage because he went into a building while the : Master Chief went into the courtyard, and can supply the Master Chief with : some great covering fire, or maybe the Master Chief will be in a great : position to take out a turret that's keeping the Arbiter pinned down. : They can still work together, having their paths cross every now and again,
: -SR In the Halo 3 E3 video at about the 43 second mark, you see the Chief and the Arbiter exiting a building both wielding chainguns. This concerns me having an AI character with the possibility of having infinite ammo, and I have to either reload or swap out to another weapon while the AI player mows down all the enemies. I have to wonder if the Arbiter is beset with the same limitations as I am as the Chief? I'm hoping that the Arbiter will have to reload or swap out to another weapon when his ammo get exhausted. Is it really "single player" when you have an AI team mate battling beside you?
