Last time I checked, Elites weren't human, and therefore aren't men. : Call me nitpicky, but that's just sloppy. it would seem that any dialogue spoken by aliens would have to be translated to english so that you could read it. If it were as realistic as you seem want it, the dialogue for the covenant would be "wort wort wort, blarg." Im sure they use a word that roughly translates to men, so thats what you read. It would be just as dumb form the commander to say 'elites' instead of 'men', since thats what we call them. I would say stop trying to be clever. They didnt have smucks write the thing. All of it was thought out. The use of the word "men" probably flowed best of several options.
