The artifact is definately near : Voi/Tsavo, though for all we know, it extends beneath the surface for : quite some distance (not nessesarily in the vertical only either). The : entire area is interesting actually, with lots of volcanic history etc. I : love this descriptive piece of Voi I found online "Here you can get : reasonably priced snacks and chilly beers." Makes sense to me! : I wanted to throw an idea I had by you guys about the design of the artifact : too, I posted it before but it slipped under the radar with hardly a : notice. : Heres my theory as to where weve seen the 'Artifact' before: : http://carnage.bungie.org/haloforum/halo.forum.pl?read=707619 I've looked up on google Earth myself, and if you look at the area around Voi, you'll see that there is an odd circular depression, about 5 miles wide at the furthest part. it's just a little south of Voi. Also, in the last Bungie weekly update, they said that this scene took place many miles inland from New Momtskirts. This would seem to fit that perfectly, as it seems to be out in the desert, and is about 80 mile in land from Mombasa. I've included a link to my RvB pictures page showing the possible site, so you have to have a profile there to see it.
