HBO didn't exactly get primetime news coverage back then like : it has lately, so instead of there being people here by the tens of : thousands there were what, a couple hundred of us, tops? Yes, we get more traffic than we used to - but I'm pretty sure we've ALWAYS been the biggest Halo fansite on the net. And the numbers haven't changed as much as you think they have; we see maybe double the number of unique IPs we saw when Halo came out. Yes, more - but not 10s or 100s of times more. (There were well over 10,000 monthly visitors - unique visitors - to this forum by early 2001 - almost a year before Halo was released. There were 25,000 unique visitors per month at the end of that year. And there are about 60,000 unique visitors these days (per month). These are forum numbers, not main site numbers.) There are (and always have been) MANY more lurkers than posters.
