In Response To: The state of the community. (Ross Mills [subnova]) I've only been here since late February...so I definitely missed 'golden years', but I've noticed the quality of topics degrading in that short period. I've never posted a response to what I'd call a mundane (to me) topic here. By not resonding, hopefully I'm helping to discourage. I've viewed the forum here every day since I joined, and I routinely have between 200-400 posts to filter through each day. I find now that I respond only to a scant few and there are even days at a time there's nothing I feel like commenting on. I like the tech or story discussions. I don't really care to chat about how laggy Halo PC is, or who's better than who in unrelated character profiles. It's brought up far too frequently and it seems the reason is to post something, intelligent or not. This is my own small opinion. I'm not trying to step on toes here, but if the HBO hey-day is anything like I've heard, I yearn for a return to those times. | |
