Halo has 1/2 the radius of Earth: 2030.180 km. 2. Halo has 1/10000 the mass of Earth: 5.972 * 10^17 kg 3. Halo has the same gravity as Earth (this leads to more calculations, but it turns out that Halo then spins fully once every 90.434 seconds) : 9.8 m/(s^2) 4. Halo is a perfect ring, with constant mass distribution Total energy is then: .5 * m * (R^2) * omega ^ 2, = .5 * (5.972 * 10^17) * (2030.180 ^ 2) * (2 * 3.14 / 90.434) ^ 2 = 5.941 * 10 ^ 21 Joules. Keep in mind that an H-bomb has at maximum about 2.4 * 10 ^ 17 joules, which means Halo is packing 24754.167 H-bombs in its spin alone. While this does not nearly amount to the power the Monitor hints at (an effective radius of 25,000 light-years), it is still quite a whallop. If I made any mistake here, please point it out: I am very error - prone.
