In Response To: Re: ya ever think... (Speedy) : 343's and Halo's power source could be much the same- in fact, it SHOULD be
There is another thing that could house a tremendous source of power: THE VERY SPACE itself. Modern scientists believe that there is something called "spacefoam" which is actually the chaotic space itself on an extremely small scale, the spacefoam is too small to have any remarkable affect even on things as "big" as electrons. The space is said to "vibrate" and "boil" ferociously on these scales, which constantly creates mini-mini-mini...(340 minis later)...mini wormholes, and the creation of these demands energy. In fact, one single cm^3 of empty space - in theory - uses so much energy by doing so that it (theoretically) would be able to vaporize all the H2O on earth if it "aimed" it at such a purpose. Imagine the spaces that Halo could use, during the hundreds of thousands of years it's been there... (The forerunners held a quite high level of technology, so why wouldn't they extract this infinite energy?) |
