Yah there is a thread in th archives with a much better discussion on this, I that that very few people would want to become "super maxed out soldiers" unless they were pyscho violent types who you wouldn't want to be all powerful anyway. Remeber what happened to the asteriod colonies, memories like that die hard.

I wonder if being a cyborg would hamper you in anyway. Would your brain need to be altered to work with implants. The marathon marine doesn't think to much, just some simple puzzles, and follow orders.

Yah powered armour is good and could extend "super soldier abilities to non cyborgs. If soldiers were given simple interface implants the suit could work like an extended body, I wonder if you could drive a jeep like that too?

Yup I said this a ocuple months ago but nobody listened then either, oh well.

> Again, there's a window for all human or mostly human marines.

I think this is the real argument. What cyborg means. In its purest form cyborg means any humans machine hybrid, including gramps and his fake heart. However the accepted definition seems to be "super soldier". I think that most of the people in halo will fit the first definition having chips and ports for direct interface with equipment etc, however there will be few "super soldiers" too.
