The same argument holds for you. If I *DIDN'T* overthink the story and simply went on what I was given, I wouldn't think there were cyborgs. You would have to overthink what's given (now) to think there were cyborgs. All I have is your belief... hardly enough to go on.
As for the Mararthon Story page, I've read the Puzzling pages through many times and the normal story through once. That's why I weigh every word. Why should anyone do anything less? (Especially with 7 or more months on our hands)
Or would you rather all speculation and discussion of Halo stop? Oh... that would be fun. ;)
