Maybe : just haven't found all the stashes yet. : The Didact's ship looks dumb. : Scorpion shell too slow. : BR sounds bad. Shots and reload. : Cortana's face looks wierd. : What the fuck is wrong with the plasma pistol sounds? : Lip-syncing. : Weapon names. Still don't know what the new grenades are called. : Captain Del Rio or whatever is a fucking dumbass. : Knight charge attack is dumb : Nothing else with Halsey besides the opening? : Needs more warthog/mongoose. : AI fragments --> Spooky hardlight ghosts? : Very little of the soundtrack really grabbed me. : No quotes jumped out at me as memorable. : Covenant voices are dumb. : Elite colors not vibrant enough. : Whole campaign actually takes place over like 6-7 hours (I mean actually : in-universe)? : Chief strolling down the light bridge while humans are getting cooked below. : Promethean grenades are useless pieces of trash. : Hunter melee attack is comically fast. Looks silly. : The Didact sucks. The only things that really jumped out on my first campaign run is: - The Warthog engine sound is just terrible and is way too loud compared with other ambient sounds. If I was driving and someone was talking, I couldn't hear the voices at all. The sound just doesn't sound Wathog-ish either. - I have a standard stereo setup but sounds that have an echo to them like a shipboard announcement system or sometimes even Cortana are completely unintelligible. - The encounters didn't have the feel of importance to them except maybe the end. It was just fighting the same enemies in different environments. There was story crammed in but I felt some of the encounters were so trivial feeling I felt it could have been delivered as dialogue such as "and then we fought our way through the forest". If I'm going to have an encounter, make it worth something cool. - And that lead to this. I hope in time it has some great replay, but gut instinct now is I can't really think of a level I just 'need' to play over again. The other Halo games have had a level or two in each that was infinitely replayable because it was fun and not at all tedious. I can't think of any levels in Halo 4 that I need to skip to and replay. I hope that changes over time though.
