In Response To: My campiagn gripes *SP* (NartFOpc) I'm pretty dissatisfied with the whole campaign. It felt forced. Everything - Cortana's breakdown, the Chief's inner turmoil, the Lasky shit, none of it felt genuine. It was like every three seconds Cortana would freak out, and Chief would say "Don't worry, it's fine" and she'd retort "HOW IS THIS FINE?". One big freak out like that would have been quite an impact. Hearing it three times in what seemed like a row really dulled that one. But I could forgive that, like I forgive the shoddy design sense whoever was art directing this thing had (especially whoever thought making the most enigmatic and ancient civilization in the galaxy look like a star trek nose putty alien), because the gameplay feels super tight. Every game I've been in has been fair, when I lose and when I win it's always on my own merits. Still, I just wish I had a single damn clue what the antagonist's motivation even was. At no point did I even begin to comprehend why he needed to kill humanity or whatever his goal was supposed to be (What, turning them into computer men? Am I missing something here?)
