In Response To: I don't even own the game yet and I agree with you (Captain Spark) : I've been watching the campaign on YouTube of some fella playing the entire : game through. The weapons sounds are not very distinct , they all have a : very similar sound, a tinny rather "sameness" to them. A lot of : the sounds in general has that tinny sound to them. The Grunts sound : almost cat-like and cartoony. : The fella I've been watching play through the campaign has ran out of ammo
Those are the two biggest problems I've had with it so far. I'm disappointed in the weapon sounds. I was hoping they would sound better than the youtube videos, but even with my surround sound cranked up they don't sound that great. I think BF3 still has much better sounding weapons. And the warthog and ghost sound awful. I really don't like what they've done with either. The Promethian knights are worse bullet sponges than the Halo 2 brutes. I've had a few places where I was running around in circles just trying to find enough ammo to kill two of them. It doesn't help that you can't see the guns laying on the ground. And their grenades are pretty much useless unless you manage to get one to stick under their arms. Fuel rods, rail guns, and binary rifles are worth their weight in gold because they're the only guns that seem to take them down in a reasonable amount of time and ammo.
