I think the best part about your posts (and the worst, seeing as how I sometimes hate to admit it) is how right you are. Blah. Yes, I've been overly negative and yes, I've been overly unimpressed with most everything they've shown and nearly every video of gameplay I've seen from H4 multiplayer. But I took myself to task just now and have been pondering on the positive and ways things can be fun and how things might turn out well, and there are surprising many ways.

With Reach (unlike with every other Halo game aside from ODST), I find that I have a very difficult time playing by myself. It's the people I play with who make it a fantastic and fun time. At the very least, these same people (including yourself) could easily make H4 a much more fun and joyous time, even if I do end up disliking the gameplay. Instead of gearing up for tournaments or hardcore competitive gameplay (or Schooly's next iteration of ULTRA MLG), maybe I should be thinking about the more normal and standard gameplay situations.

You're absolutely right about there being a brightside in here, and I'm still hoping that there are more "standard" gametypes and things for CTF, Slayer, Oddball, Assault, and who knows what else they've changed, but if everything is going to change I guess I'm going to have to either need to find ways to have fun or get used to it or just be miserable. And what's fun about being miserable? Blargh. Give me some time, I'll get there maybe. Hopefully it's not as bad as it seems, and if so, hopefully there are plenty of alternative gametypes for me to have fun with (ideally without turning the game into something that's too busy and clusterblammy).
