This alarmed me also, but isn't it an option in Reach to have the flag indicator always on? I hope it was just for the convention setting to avoid new players being confused. I LIKE the context-sensitive waypoints: defend, protect, escort--all of these are welcome by me in CTF. But there needs to be no indicator when the flag is carried by an enemy--that is a critical element to competitive CTF if you ask me.

Another alarming thing I noticed in gameplay videos is the points bonus for throwing and catching an oddball in Team Oddball. You get 15 points if you catch a long throw. If this isn't removed in matchmaking, then the team in possession of the oddball will simply throw the ball back and forth, back and forth, back and forth to rake in tons of points.
