Ahahaha. Comparing this game to Unreal Tournament. There's a reason why certain things work well in a game like UT and why they absolutely won't in what 343 Industries is turning into a carebear hand holding experience. But sure, if you want to make that comparison to keep your optimism up, by all means go for it. :P

The problem isn't about having a weapon or not having a weapon while carrying the flag. It's how from Slayer to CTF to Oddball they look determined to destroy strategy, skill, sneakiness, craftiness, etc-ness by adding in a lot more luck and random events into the gameplay. Also depending on where flags are located depending on base and map types, if I know I'm about to drop dead, throwing that flag out of the base or window or wherever is sometimes golden. It's part of the challenge, too. Comparing this game to any version of UT is a joke at this point.
